Questions
Which pens do I need?
Ten standard colors: Black, Purple, Blue, Light Blue, Green, Light Green, Yellow, Orange, Red and Pink. Any gel pens, felt tips or colored pencils in these shades will do, and each key page lists the pens that picture needs.
Can I use just one pen?
Yes. Ignore the color names and draw only the marks. The marks carry the light and shade, so every page also comes out as a soft grey-tone picture. The solutions at the back are shown that way.
How big are the squares?
Each mosaic is a grid of 42 by 56 squares (2,352 in all), and each square is about 4.5 mm wide. The book is made for gel pens, felt tips or colored pencils.
Will ink bleed onto my next picture?
No mosaic sits behind another. The page behind every grid is a key page, so if a pen bleeds through, it lands on a list of color names, not on your next mosaic.
